Properties of granite

Granite “Jupiter” has a medium-coarse-grained, full-crystalline porphyry structure and a massive texture. Pink-gray color, formed by large light pink tabular crystals of potassium feldspar 1-5 cm in size, light gray plagioclase grains 0.5-0.7 cm in size, colorless quartz grains up to 1 cm in size and accumulations of dark colored minerals (biotite, hornblende) up to 0.1-0.3 cm in size, in color from dark brown to black. The texture pattern is homogeneous, in some areas decorative motifs are observed, resulting from the same orientation in the space of elongated potassium feldspar crystals.

Granite “Jupiter” belongs to the I class of radiation safety (granite can be used in all types of construction work, without restrictions).

The area of the deposit concession area is 6.54 ha, the area of the mining concession is 8.7 ha. The approved total balance sheet reserves amount to 1301.5 thousand m3, the supply of raw material reserves to the enterprise is 52.1 years. The design capacity for the production units is 6.35 thousand m3 per year. According to the data of radiation and hygienic assessment of granites, deposits belong to class I and can be used without restrictions in all types of residential and public construction.
